That's what I first did when I started quilting. I did rows where the start & stop would be caught up in the binding. I was so hesitant to start & stop in the middle for fear of the stitching coming out. I took a long arm quilting class from the lady I work for now. She has shown me so much. Now I know all you have to do is tack down the start & stop & you're good to go.
