I got the book yesterday, and I couldn't believe it, couldn't believe when I opened up the first essay. I was so happy. Very, very, very.... Here's a poem I wrote years ago. It was published in a edgey little magazine in SF. It's about then and them and that. It's kind of long....

wow. that is truly amazing. the imagery you use and connections you make...very sensual and alive.

and i really like how you don't flinch.

i haven't been as impressed with a writer (and I'm speaking of all I've read of yours thus far) since Winterson and Janet Frame (specifically The Edge of the Alphabet). Have you read Frame? There's an excerpt of Alphabet on Amazon. Also, have you read Harrison's The Kiss?

I've read everything that I've seen by Winterson, and a lot of Janet Frame. As for the Kiss, no, but.... It sounds interesting and upsetting. I'll put it on my list.
