I wish I knew less than I did; I wish I wanted to know less than I do. I wish to resolve the conflict between what is mine and what is theirs.

Fantasies are better than their realization. The former can be whatever you want them to be. The latter comes with consequences, or at least rough edges that aren't much fun to navigate.
