I am finishing up my second week of psychiatry rotations, and I really love it. I get to sit everyday and talk to people, understanding their stories, trying to unravel their minds. The people I talk to range in severity, but considering I am working inpatient in the psych ward at the hospital right now, most of them are hindered enough by their ( Read more... )

blech. I was not a fan of psychiatry. Mostly because maybe 1 / 10 people did not anger me. I wanted to kick the ass of dependent personality disorders more than anything else.... urghhh they angered me.

Thank goodness. There need to be people who can handle it. Lord knows that I can't. I barely have the patience to take a "full" history and physical. If the issue doesn't deal with the current disease I could care less. I just want to Slice, Cut, manipulate and stitch. Oh I love to stitch...
