Yesterday morning, for no apparent reason and with no forewarning, my daughter, who was sitting on the couch next to the dog, declared 'Today is national sniff the puppy-butt day, Daddy,'.  She then proceeded to honor the day by doing what any responsible citizen would do, which is, of course, to sniff the puppy's butt
