Cooking with lavender

When MWNN and I visited Hitchin Lavender, I asked if the farm's lavender was suitable for cooking. The assistant said it was but to use it sparingly, especially the dried version. I said I'd like to try using the lavender from my garden and was told that it would be ideal as it was best to use just picked lavender.

Sounds delicious! I've had lavender in scones before and that was lovely! 104 - have fun!

104 did extremely well (as did 103). 104 fiished in under 15 hours - and managed to 'run' across the line.

I like Lavender in Herbes De Provence but I'm not a big fan of it in biscuits, too scented for my taste or maybe the recipies I've tried have been too heavy handed

I think that is probably the case. All the recipes I found warned about using too much.
