Yeah, I've got the fever--moving fever. I went out with an agent from Apartment People which was great--my agent was very upbeat and knowledgeable about neighborhoods and leasing companies, etc and we found some good contenders. Oh that's so funny, Kathleen mentioned she had shown a bunch of places to a UofC person (I'm assuming you're a UofC person, since you're an lj friend of Penny's) the day before. Alas, I did not get to see the bathroom with the dolphin tiles, but I did see some decent places. I'm bummed that I missed out on a dream place, though. Did you have any luck? The whole process was so exhausting, I'm not looking forward to doing more of it!

yeah, I'm in the MAPSS program; Penny and I actually "met" on the uchicago comm, and we live in the same building, one floor apart!

I was also at the AP place for three or four hours and was totally wiped out afterwards. Originally I was thinking Lakeview/Lincoln Park/Wicker Park (typical) because those are the only other neighborhoods I "know," but after looking around St. Ben's and Roscoe Village, I'd be open to looking in other areas. I hope your app goes through successfully though, Logan Square seems like a decent area to live as well :)
