Clearly I've been away too long. I didn't know you played volleyball on Wednesday nights. How fun is that!

Although you're a marvelous hostess (and I was privileged on many occasions to be hostessed by you), I must express empathy that the job hunt isn't going to well. :( Keep your chin up, though. Something's bound to come you're way.

Also, what's the premise of the Kleenex commercial? I never watch television... though I admit to crying to a Hallmark commercial once upon a time.

Well, in addition to being a restaurant slave (again), I'm doing an unpaid internship at this kickass magazine (www.inthesetimes.com) so I have something going on that will make me feel not so worthless.

The Kleenex commercial is basically this couch, coffee table (with a box of kleenex on it, natch), and a guy sitting in a chair all on a city sidewalk. Passersby come and sit down and pour their heart out to the guy--happy stuff, sad stuff, silly stuff, and of course people start weeping (and using the kleenex). It's more poignant (I think) than I can describe it, and iIt gets me every time.
