Nation A is fed up with all the crime in his country, and decides to do something about it, darn it. So he becomes a superhero! Because that's the logical step to take!

Nation B is attracted to Nation A, but hasn't acted on it yet. But then he becomes interested in the new vigilante in A's land. Who is that masked man? And why is he so mysteriously alluring?

A Superman and Lois Lane style two-sided love triangle ensues, complete with secret identity drama and kidnappings.

Prefered pairings are Germany/Italy, Sweden/Finland, Spain/Lovino, Austria/Hungary or Korea/Japan. I don't care who's A or B as long as it's awesome and cute~.

Bonus 1: America sets up a shrine to the new hero.
Bonus 2: A super-long cape used romantically.~ <3

I hope that this is an okay fill! I'm a little nervous about this one.
The first time that Romano even heard about The Conquistador, it was after ( ... )

...OMG I love you.

Spain! Romano! Although I think America just sort of stole the show, here. Hee. But this is lovely!

"He has abs," Romano said, then flushed because that had not been what he'd meant to say.

"He has abs," America agreed dreamily. "And a strong sense of justice!"

Ahaha. ♥ Oh America, you fanboy capitalist.

You just picked out my absolute favorite lines in the fic so far. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who liked them.

And I am having way too much fun writing capitalist-fanboy America.

...Why didn't I think of fanboy!Japan? *feels silly* I need to work him in!

...and, yeah, I am way too much of a fan of fanboy!Romano. I think that's one of the reasons I leaped on this fill even though I should be working on my other big one. Well. Fanboy!Romano as well as certain scenes that come up later in the story.

I really appreciate you saying that, since the last few lines were kind of thrown on at the end for a better scene change between this and the next part (which should be up tonight). You have calmed my fears, though, readeranon! Thank you. ^^

Does the Conquistador wear spaindex? anonymous September 4 2009, 14:21:27 UTC

Authoranon just made an embarrassing squeaky noise of glee at the thought of superhero!Spain fanart. Fanart will more than likely equal swooning adoration from authoranon. Just warning you in advance.

And for the record? It does not say that Spain is wearing spandex. That's not because he isn't wearing spandex -- he so totally is -- but because I kept typo-ing it as spaindex and was entirely too amused with myself.

I will most certainly try my best, despite having multiple fills on my hand (along with an insanely cracktastic comicy thing that HAS to vacate my brain ASAP, and a crossover (or two~)) but once I can get a clear vision in my head of Spa-er, The Conquistador's uniform, smooth sailing! XD That, and it might take a draft or ten, I'm not the greatest at human anatomy. I shall have to study many abs...

But, um, yeah, I totally made the same typo up there. XD I didn't notice it until I read your comment and I was all, "Holy crap, that's puntastic!" Oh, and again, SOOOOO in love with this fill and I LOVE you for Spain's fantasy in the second part down there! WHO'S HE GONNA CALL?! *claps hand giddily*

"Lovi~" Spain called, poking his head in the door of Romano's bedroom after being let in by Romano's brother. "Lovi, are you ready for our picnic ( ... )

I LOVE this fill so far. Oh Romano, why so tsundere~? And Spain, why so adorable? (America's cameo in the first part was awesome too.) You write the two together so well (not to mention the extremely quotable dialogue), and I can't wait to see what Spain's planning!

Also, "I'm pretty sure America doesn't go around breaking into people's houses. Well. That time with England doesn't count, because I'm not sure England really minded." Is that a hint of US/UK I see there? <3

I don't think I've ever been told that I have quotable dialouge, and I'm more pleased by that compliment than I really should be. ^^; Thank you, anon ( ... )

Well, I'm a USxUK shipper too, so my mind immediately jumped to the "boring, obvious explanation." (Damn, now I want to read the rest of that story too...) I completely understand keeping it vague; this fill is supposed to be about Spain/Romano and I started reading this fill for the inherent humor of the premise applied to them (plus tsundere!Romano is always a blast to read about). That throwaway line was just a little bonus for readers like me. :)
