"The Black-footed Ferret is an endangered mammal in North America. They became extinct in Canada in 1937... US federal and state agencies in cooperation with private landowners, conservation groups, Native Americans, and North American zoos, have been actively reintroducing ferrets back into the wild since 1991. Beginning in Wyoming, reintroduction efforts have since expanded to sites in Montana, South Dakota, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. The Toronto Zoo has bred hundreds, most of which were released into the wild."
America has been working hard to save his endangered animals, but Canada was too late in this case. But, with his brother's help, he may still be able to bring this little one home:
"..A population of 34 animals was released into Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan on October 2, 2009.
Please anons, the twins are so cute with their animals, and it's nice to see America actually BEING a hero for once!
