Okay... how to go about explaining things.

I'd love to see a self-harming England who over the years has internalized all hateful comments ever said to him. If I recall correcting it has been stated that he is a natural pessimist. Well how about him having a naturally self destructive nature as well?

Okay well anyway somehow or another America goes off on England after having his ideas being criticized one to many times. They have a huge fight which in turn causes poor Iggy to run off and harm himself. What happens next is up to anon as long as there is USxUK fluff! <3 Smut is not needed... but oh so very much loved. xD ( ... )

oh! But drama!anon would also like to ask--what kind of things were you thinking of for self-mortification? I can think of a lot of different ways for him to self-harm, but... like...do you mean... putting himself into situations where he could be criticized?

Possibly more like cutting? And I can see him having an eating disorder; he is pretty skinny, after all.

For like that part, because it was back in the seventeenth century I was thinking more like using a scourge to whip himself. [This OP has been re-reading the scarlet letter and thus... it became some what of a very much loved kink.]

But that would be back then. Because as far as I know no one really thought of self harming by cutting as of yet. But for modern time England I would say he's totally cutting. As Anon below mentioned, the UK has the highest rate of self harming/cutting inhabitants according to this one artical... but alas I has not the link either. Though it is totally up to you anon! ^_^

Oh but he could also purposly put himself into situations where he would be criticized. This anon used to cut after putting herself in situations where she knew she would be hurt so she didn't feel as guilty for cutting on a regular basis. >_<;; [[Sorry for the mega depressingness there. xP]]

OP of a similar never-filled request in part 8 would like to point out that England has the highest Self-Harm rate in Europe. I don't have the link to the article to prove it, but it was in my request.

That being said, I really hope this is filled.
