Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;They ate in silence, both content to simply chance little glances at one another before Canada, only half way through his lamb, sighed, putting down his plate. “Russia,” he said slowly, “I've sort of been meaning to ask you this but,” he swallowed, cutting himself off and Russia politely put his plate down, staring at him expectantly. “I um, I have season tickets to see the, well actually all the Canadian teams when they do home games but I-I was wondering if, if maybe you'd like to come I mean not to all of them obviously because of plane rides and things but to a few? I mean Alfred never comes to any game that isn't one of his so I you could come to the Montreal and Toronto games for instance but if you don't want to you don't

Hooray, author!anon! You have successfully made my night! I totally squeed aloud when I saw you had updated. >>
I love your characterization; Canada is so cute, and Russia is all his normal 'nothing fazes me' self. He would totally be the type to just leave his heart behind, lol.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. Russia didn't notice anything was off until he was on the edge of sleep, the night promising to be one of bad dreams. He'd spent all afternoon fending off Belarus' unwanted advances, and as he'd drifted between the realms of the awake and the sleeping, images of a younger sweeter Belarus melting into what she was now he noticed the lack of pounding heart beat

Outside a few more nations were present, India was in the middle of a rather complex looking yoga routine, and Canada watched her for a moment, wincing a bit she stretched her leg to a ninety degree angle. She must have felt his gaze because warm chocolate eyes landed on his, crinkling in amusement when she saw his face

Beautifully done A!A~ I was sad that it when the heading read "completed" and that there was only one new part but I believed you wrapped it up quite nicely. With that said, I vehemently request that you make a sequel. I would love to see the do more sweet things! Also, I want to see Russia, and maybe France's, reaction to Pretzel!Canada. x3

That was incredibly awesome, author anon. The conversation was lovely, and you never directly mentioned but implied subtly that, from now on, that could make Russia's nights easier and happier. Canada is so sweet here! I loved his interaction with India, and his observations on others (a note: I absolutely loved that part where the nations were calm and just hanging out, I wish there were more fics about it).
France was perfect. I also believe he likes Russia, but nobody would like Russia with their "kid". But the light teasing about his "date" was cute, and you mentioned practically every popular pairing for Canada except the FrUK characters. I also loved Russia's mention of French in his noble class, and damn, I never knew Russia speaking French confidently and smugly would be such a turn on; usually, in fics about his French-speaking abilities, he's this insecure teen boycrushing on France hard (which is also great), but never this self-assured.
Placeholder for Child of the Universe, Russia/Canada fluff where poor Russia's heart can't stay in place.
