Author notes!

This part of the fill takes place during the London Blitz, specifically during the May 10, 1941 attack in which St. Clement Danes Church burned.

Why is Canada so important here? Because in the last round of Risk I played, the second Canada went to War with America, Germany kicked England's ass.

I bow before you and offer eternal graitude and love.
This is brilliant (I mean it would be twenty not thirty years and it was America joining WW2 that really got them out of the Great Depression but who cares about minor quibbles when a fic is this fabulous!)
I will reiterate once more my undying love for your America (I really like how he's angry that his brother's suffering in Europe while simultaneously considering invading him) and my ever increasing concern. Alfred's not going to let him off easily.
Thanks for writing this and please continue!

PS I'm fine for whatever kinks you want to throw in but I'd quite like a happy ending. If you've got a different ending planned already that's fine but I'm a bit soft hearted so I'd like a happy ending for Arthur at least.

Yay!
It really is sort of telling, isn't it, how Alfred views Matthew (No one hurts my brother BUT me)? And yup, Alfred's going to make Arthur work for it. Happy Ending. Will do!

(You'll laugh at me but I'm a game convention, paying more attention to this then the convention)

Um. I just started reading this and I already feel guilty for being turned on by the darkness of this setup/prompt. *is going to hell* I'm totally enjoying it, though. <3

Wow, this is an amazing fill! I love how dark--yet justified--America is, especially when it comes to trying to pull Matt away from the war. I can't imagine how Arthur is feeling right now. I am SO following this story.

Also, is this going to be a history AU?

It kind of sounds like the only difference is going to be that Arthur is "paying Alfred back" for America's involvement in the war with sex (instead of -- or in addition to! -- the money the English finally finished paying back recently in real life) by becoming his sex slave. So, uh, nothing too AU, it seems? I'm guessing the war will go the same, if not all history.

Haven't made up my mind really. There's going to be some really AU elements (I mean, c'mon, here), especially with the relationships between Canada, England and America during the Wars.

But, I'm going to try to keep the time line similar (messed up already /sad), so not quite a total AU.

The joke between Alfred and Matthew was that their vision was the exact copy of what their national outlook was. Alfred was short-sighted, with most of his national outlook rarely looking outside his borders. He saw the short-term in crystal perfect detail, sometimes coming up with sudden, brilliant ideas that left Matthew, and everyone else, scratching their heads as to how he'd done it. Matthew was far-sighted, seeing long term effects. He could see what his brother's short term plans would do in the long run, and often was the one trying to temper or change the plans to for a better long term effect ( ... )
