Arthur was surprised when the terrified American had jumped into his arms and begun burrowing himself into the Englishman's chest, but he had adapted quickly. He wrapped one arm around his boyfriend and stroked his back in what Arthur hoped was a soothing manner

That was one of the sexiest kisses I've... er, "witnessed" sounds a bit odd xD; ANYway, I love your writing style, you manage to get ME to enjoy reading about vampires (a first! o.o)
I nearly squealed out loud when they admitted their feelings for one another. The lack of "le drama" at the revelation that Arthur's a vampire was really nice too 83 Can't help but worry over what Francis will say/do when he finds out... o.o;;
I'm so glad you're updating this fic, can't wait for more! 8D

I'm so glad for the update! I was thinking about this fill... just a few hours ago, so it kinda made my night.
I have to say, I'm glad Alfred knows Arthur's a vampire again, but if Francis finds out, he could try something worse than just errasing Alfred's memory, I'm nervous ;~;

I'm so angry at myself for not catching this. These were supposed to go between 16a and 16b. -----
The Briton took a shaky breath and watched the younger man carefully, silently praying that he would react similarly to how he'd reacted the last two times he'd discovered the Englishman's secret. Then he whispered, “Yes.”
The American paused and thought about this, his memories flooding him and helpfully filling in the blanks. He remembered Arthur pulling him close, straddling him... wrapping his mouth around his member, then biting him... Arthur, making him forget, then Francis's intervention the second time. Most of all, he remembered the Briton's near-hysterical reaction the last time he'd remembered that the other man was a vampire. After taking all that into account he came to one inescapable conclusion and a smile spread across his face.

The next night, Arthur went out and found another meal, another drunken victim. After feeding, he wiped the woman's memory and sent her on her way, while he made his way back to Yao's store

The Englishman had barely walked three blocks when he was accosted by a very familiar voice.
“Arthur, mon ami,” the Frenchman called out to him. “What a surprise to see you out and about two days in a row.”
“Francis,” the Briton greeted coolly. “What brings you here?”
Francis chuckled. “I am merely here to see how my brother is doing.”
“I'm perfectly fine, as I was last night,” Arthur replied with a slight air of menace.
“And how is your little toy doing?” the other man questioned.
“Alfred is probably doing well. I wouldn't know because I haven't seen him since you took him out of my flat,” the Briton forced himself to say relatively calmly

I *orgasmed* when you mentioned that Ivan was a vampire hunter. That is so freakin hot I don't have the words to do it justice ♥
Oh, and the USUK was cute too xD (no, seriously, it's very nice to see Arthur so firm and in love. And that last sentence by France *sob* Why are people recently making him a grieving man? it fits him so well damnit)

The Englishman waited until Alfred nodded before continuing. “Well, Francis and I went to a party in 1897. I was twenty-one at the time. We decided to step out and explore the garden. There was this fantastic hedge maze, and we disagreed on what path to take, so we split up. It wasn't long after that I heard Francis scream. I ran towards him as quickly as I could, but when I got there it was too late.” Arthur paused and huddled as close as he could to the younger man, as if Alfred could protect him from the ghosts of the past
