Arthur yanked harshly on the line and the weak pillar shattered. The stone fell down and came rolling towards them, but the two of them easily side-stepped it. As it came to a halt, the two started pushing it towards the indentation on the right. This “switch” too was pressed down and just like last time, the statue behind it started moving

At the other end of the room was a large block of a crystal-like substance, blue and glowing. Encased in the beautiful blue crystal was the body of a woman, perfectly preserved these past thousands of years. In front of the queen’s body was a block of polished stone going from wall to wall, there seemed to be a small golden box on top of it

“See! Totally not afraid!” Alfred boasted as he reached the top. Arthur raised an eyebrow and gave him a small sarcastically meant applause. The sarcasm of it all seemed to fly straight over Alfred’s head as the moron simply grinned.
“Yes, very good. Let’s continue on, shall we?” Arthur turned from Alfred and walked to the other side of the statue. He looked more closely at the distance between the statue and the platform. It would be tight since they were a bit farther apart than Arthur had estimated on the ground.
“Hey, wait a minute!” Alfred squawked from behind Arthur. “You’re… you’re not really planning on jumping over to that platform, are you?” Arthur recognised the look on Alfred’s face, he’d seen it many times before. You’re crazy.“I am, actually,” he said, without turning towards Alfred. “There’s no other way, but if you want to be stuck here, be

Alfred stared at Arthur where he hung from the wall. Did he really expect Alfred to climb like that? It was insane!
“... You’re not serious...” he said, still quite a bit shell shocked. Arthur rolled his eyes and raised one of his big eyebrows.
“I’m very much serious, git,” he bit out. “Or are you scared you can’t do it?” Alfred knew he was taunting him just to get him to do it, but he still felt his blood boil slightly. He wasn’t afraid, he just wasn’t a monkey!
“God damn it,” he muttered and turned his face away from Arthur, but not without catching a glimpse of the Brit’s smug grin. Alfred pouted and crossed his arms, this really wasn’t fair. He was a hero! How come Arthur was doing everything and being brave and stuff? It was really unfair. ... But at least Alfred’s physical abilities seemed to be superior to Arthur’s, and the hero is always the strongest!
He nodded to himself and turned back to Arthur, who was just starting to move, and froze. He got a really nice view of Arthur’s ass from this angle, and those damn

He let go with one hand, grabbed onto the very edge with the other and pushed himself forward. His mind ran a million miles per second, but he someone managed to get hold of the banister anyway.
He panted heavily and started moving again to get to that banister-ladder-thing as quickly as humanly possible. When his feet touched the platform and there was no risk of him falling anywhere, he breather out a sigh of relief. ‘Nope. Never want to do that again.’
“Good lord, Alfred, you’re as white as a sheet!” Arthur exclaimed. Alfred shook himself out, now that he wasn't hanging from a banister a mere slip away from death he felt a lot better. He grinned.
“Hah! I'm fine, Artie! As if a little climbing can get me down!” Arthur’s face darkened and one of his eyebrows twitched.
“Don’t call me ‘Artie’!” he yelled, which only served to make Alfred laugh. Annoying Arthur was funHe looked around the room again, admiring the windows on the opposite side. He still wondered how the light could get in here to shine through the three windows

“Ugh, fine! But I still get the credit for finding it!” it might be childish, but damnit, this time he was the one who’d done the awesome analyze.
“Ugh, does that really matter, you git?” Arthur rolled his eyes again before he turned to the vine, still hanging there. It had helped Alfred get to Arthur in time, and it was their only way to the other sets of platforms, because the next one on this side was pretty busted.
Arthur leapt out towards the vine without waiting for an answer. He caught himself nicely on it and started climbing. Alfred idly wondered just how Arthur planned to go about this, but the man was obviously a bit insane so Alfred wasn’t really sure he wanted to know or watch.
He watched as Arthur ascended the vine, turned some, and started swinging it back and forth. He frowned slightly, ‘What’s Arthur... no. No, no, no. Not even Arthur is insane enough to try and jump to the banister on the other side of the room using the vine... right?’ His thoughts ground to a halt when he realised that Arthur was actually

“Alfred! You are a genius!” Arthur’s words made Alfred grin like a loon. The golden triangle was there, it had to be! He watched as Arthur opened his backpack and carefully placed another golden box into it, grinning the entire time before he started to redo the entire climbing process that had brought them to the platform Alfred was still standing on

“Bloody hell! What are you doing, you sodding imbecile?!” Arthur screeched as he started to struggle. Alfred got his whip out and soon held the vine in his hand. “Oh no,” Arthur said and Alfred could really imagine his face growing pale. “You’re not really going to-!” he was cut off when Alfred threw himself forward, one arm wrapped around Arthur’s thighs to keep him on his shoulder, the other holding the vine in an iron grip.
Admittedly, having to swing back and forth a few times to gain momentum kinda killed the feeling and really made his arm tired, but damnit, it was kinda worth it when he landed on the platform softly with Arthur still slung over his shoulder. Damn, he really felt like a hero now.
“Oh, laugh it up, you git,” Arthur muttered from where he was slung over Alfred’s shoulder. Alfred laughed loudly. “Would you put me down?!” Arthur sounded pretty bitchy now, so Alfred just followed orders, but he kept his hands on Arthur’s hips even after the Brit had both feet on the ground again and grinned widely
