Unconditional - Part 5 notes

Word Count!anon: Thank you!! For thinking it's awesome, and for the suggestion. I've used word count before, but for some reason it completely slipped my mind to use it for this. Don't I feel stupid. :)
Friendly Pointer!anon: It doesn't distract at all? Good. That's what I needed to know. Thank you for telling me about the post-per-day/page thing. I'll be sure to remember to watch my fill posts in the future.
OP!anon: I like Crazy-but-Well-Meaning Russia. I'm glad I managed to keep him that way. :) Looking forward to this "big review" even if it means not hearing from you for a while.
-- Note for the story: Russia probably could have been nicer with the feeding, but having his efforts to "help" Canada thrown back in his face (literally) can't have been good for his anger issues (which he does have, despite being all friendly!crazy). Just in case that's bugging you as much as it's been bugging me. If it isn't... have a Jedi mind trick. Waves hand, "You will ignore the crazy author!anon."

I'm horrible at commenting (mostly because I'm always too lazy to log out) but this fill is seriously awesome.
At first, when I saw the request and the first few lines, I was all :| and then I read on some and was like =O and then I kept reading and was like =D ....and seriously there is no better way to express myself than through emoticons right now I suck at comments okay but wanted to comment here ;;
/stalks and reareads again and again
The only thing that lacks a bit in my eyes is... I'd really love to see some of Russia's motivation. Also I want to know where they areeeeee geographically |D
Unconditional - Part 6a/?

This part is a bit awkward, but I've already rewritten it several times, so it's staying. Criticism is welcome as, other than my reader!anons, I am the only one looking at the story, and I'm not always good at telling what works and what doesn't. Thanks.
Russia returned again and again, and always Canada was silent - his face blank and his eyes dark. He did nothing as Russia spoke to him, save trying to hide that his fingers were worn and red from contact with the cold metal of the chain. When Russia ordered him to “eat” and “drink” he moved, but slowly, like an automaton

Russia is brushing out Canada's hair in the kitchen, separating it into strands for a short braid when he arrives. Canada hears the voice, recognizing that he should know who it was, but unable to care that he doesn't. He whines as Russia's grip on his hair tightens enough to pull

This is so amazing, anon!! I love it so much! I felt so bad for Russia when America took Canada away... I can't wait to see what happens next! (Does Russia get him back? Does Canada go back on his own?)
And I don't mean to be rude to the anon above, but: please keep it RusCan! I love it so much! ;o;
Unconditional - Interlude

Thanks to reviewer!anons. I'm glad you're enjoying this as much as I am. Well, the next few parts aren't coming along as nicely as I'd hoped, but if I skip a day, I'll end up putting it all off and never coming back. One anon mentioned something about wanting to see Russia's motivation, so I decided to post this segment. It's a bit experimental and only has minimal editing, but it's in Russia's POV. Please tell me what you think (concrit welcome).
People say that they love. Lies and treacherous truths The mirage of the lovers, Is it ever made real?Russia watched the door with dead eyes, silently begging for Canada to walk through it. He knew that it wouldn't happen, not with that scream - so terrified-hurt-soul wrenching-painful that he couldn't even bear to think of it. Not with America taking him away

Oh wow, Anon is awed at how fast those updates are flying. I was a bit hesitant to read it at first but the promise of Canada kept me rooted. It's nice to see a little into Russia's (crazy) mind at least he actually liked Canada. As for pairings. I don't really mind eitherway who Canada ends up with since I'm more interested in seeing him get better. The poor kid probably suffers from Stockholm syndrome as it is. =P

Anon loves your story to bits. It is nice to see crazy!-but well meaning!Russia it is really refreshing after many "for the evulz" Russias. This is actually my head-canon (not about turning Canada into a dog, but about Russia being like that)
Also, about who Canada should end up with isn't important to me right now. What takes all my attention is to see the him healed, or if he ever is able to be healed at all. I actually wonder if he will be able to speak at all.
How much time has passed anyways "After months" seems vague, it could be 2 months or 6 months to a year (hopefully not that long. Seriously Al how long did it take for you to notice?)
Unconditional - Interlude II

And now we have America. I prefer sticking to Canada's POV, but since he's unconscious at the moment, I'd have to skip a bit. So this is really just another interlude. Please tell me if the timeline seems a bit odd, I'm going with the idea that Al was too busy with nation stuff to even think about Canada for a few (5) months... so he's not a complete jerk. Not that that excuses anything, but he will do his best to make up for it. In other news, unless the OP asks otherwise, or the story refuses to bend to my will (it happens a lot more than I'd like), it will be RusCan eventually. I say eventually, because, as several reviewer!anons have brought up, Canada needs to recover, or at least reach a point where he can function normally, before I start worrying about pairing him up with anyone.America couldn't help but feel guilty as he laid the still form of his brother down on the small hotel bed, carefully dressing him in a spare t-shirt and sweats. It had only been three months ago that he had first noticed something was different

Holy shit, five freaking months? Took you long enough, hero. O.o
It would make more sense for his memories of Before-Russia to be really fuzzy or distant and unreal-seeming than for them to be practically non-existent. But if you wanted to write it so that he temporarily suppressed those memories out of trauma (rather than permanently suppressing or forgetting them), that could make sense. ... I'm so unhelpful. LOL

This story has really taken shape well, esp. now that we have Ivan's POV. Pretty please, keep it RuCan!
