Character A is given a slave as a present and social norms dictate that the gift has to be accepted by having sex with him/her. But for whatever reason, A doesn't want this - maybe they're against sex slavery, maybe they know the slave from elsewhere etc. - but there's little choice.

Anon doesn't care if this has a happy ending or not as long as the consent issues and angst aren't entirely swept under the carpet.

I like how Francis sort of just swims through the whole story, keeping his moral ground but otherwise enjoying the ride and expecting whatever comes next. Looking forward to the further plot revelations, this is a very interesting fic.

I love this story so much, I literally almost screamed when I saw there was a new part this morning. And then I sat squirming in discomfort with the tension and loving every moment of it. I am looking forward to more like you couldn't even believe <3

The tension in the story is killing me! You reveal more pieces of the puzzle with every update so that the whole picture is slowly becoming clear, but I'm still squirming here because of how eager I am to see what happens next.

I continue to be really impressed with the society you've created and how heart-breakingly real the social situation of the slaves feels like. And I love Francis more with every update, and I keep hoping that something will save him from his marriage to Arthur. But whatever happens in the story, I know I'll love it because your writing is 100% awesome, anon! Thank you once again for a wonderful update!

Let me just say that Scott owing Arthur money and probably only living in his house because he is broke amuses me greatly. The other bits and details too, good update.

God, the mystery is killing me... I think we'll end up finding out that both Scott and Rhys (and probably others as well) are related to Arthur but what the hell happened? How the hell did Arthur (supposing it was Arthur, I guess it COULD have been like his father or something) get away with making Rhys a slave? Did Rhys commit a crime (maybe he tried to free Annabeth and was caught?) Is he an "indentured servant ( ... )

I just can't get enough of this fill, even if it's starting to make feel a little claustrophobic because Arthur's household feels like a small world of its own from where there is no escape. The way he behaved in this chapter was chilling, and I truly feel sorry for Francis for having to marry him. I can't wait to see how things will develop.
