What is your basic goal in life? What would you and your rival most likely be competing for? My goal...I dunno, see the world, have a good time. Nothing epic. Hmm, I'm not extremely competitive at it is, so I'm not totally sure what we'd be fighting over. I get silently jealous when people get better grades or parts than me, but that's about it.
Would you taunt your rival openly? No, of course not.
Would you taunt your rival quietly or anonymously? Quite possibly.
Would you resort to dirty means to beat them? No, I'd feel terrible about it.
Let's say you lost to them. Would you be a good sport about it? Absolutely.
If you won, would you boast? Nope, that's called being a sore winner; it's poor sportsmanship.
ABOUT YOUR RIVAL
Would you prefer them to be sneaky or obvious about competing with you?: It doesn't really matter to me; if they were trying to be sneaky I probably wouldn't even pay enough attention to get that we were competing though.
Do you want them to be good at whatever they're doing? Some like a challenge, after-all~: I'd definitely respect them more if they were good at whatever we were doing (and feel even better if I won), and I'd probably feel bad if they were below me.
How would you want them to act if they won? Don't boast, like I said, it's poor sportsmanship, but it's alright to be proud. I'll buy you a drink and we'll both go home happy.
How would you want them to act if they lost? Shake my hand and say congratulations; don't be bitter or resentful. You'll get a chance to compete again, I'm sure
Would you like him/her to be your friend after it was all said and done? Absolutely (I love friends.)
If you found out they cheated, would you be upset? Would you alert others about it, or just suck it up? I'd be royally fucking pissed (to be blunt) but I probably wouldn't do anything about it.
This may not relate to your goal, but let's say... There's a wonderful prize for winning! Your rival has a very sick mother and needs the prize money to pay for the operation! ...Would you lose on purpose? Nope, they gotta beat me fair and square.
