Breakfast

Oct 23, 2008 08:37

One of the more bizarre things that I've learned about myself over the years is that I like variety in my breakfast.

Today's sample:

1 cup hot cocoa (TJ "sipping chocolate")
1 sliced pear
~2oz smoked salmon
bowl of optimax blueberry/flax cereal + lactose free 1%.

What do *you* like for breakfast, dear reader?

I oppose variety and opt for ease. Breakfast for weeks has consisted of a cup of coffee and either a granola bar shoved in my purse or half a bagel purchased at work.

But oh so convenient! Have basket full of granola bars at the ready on my table. Once it gets colder, I'll start shoving a packet of oatmeal in the purse instead.

I incorporate variety on Sunday by having an actual breaky of eggs, sausage, and toast/biscuit/tortilla.

I've been too cozy in bed to wake up in time for a substantial breakfast, so I usually have a granola bar (Nature Valley Oats and Honey, some yougurt, a banana, and whatever else I have handy to chaw on throughout the morning. Today, I included some walnuts and sesame stix. yum.

Don't forget coffee. Mmm, coffee.

I like my routine. I never eat breakfast.

Either "nothing" or "whatever's fast". Breakfast isn't a meal that I undertake for reasons other than not being hungry, so just about anything will do so long as it's convenient. Pop tart on the run to the commuter ail, for example. Lunch and dinner are meals I actually think about and undertake to enjoy as well as nourish (perhaps because they're far, far more likely to be social undertakings).
