Dear Andrew,
Don't eat things that spark in the microwave.
It never turns out well. Next time you put something in the microwave and it sparks, I know it's food... but don't eat it. Call me instead and I'll arrive with a platter of mixed foods that will NOT spark in the microwave.

i know metal sparks in the microwave. but i never wanted to ruin a microwave, so i don't know what color sparks metal produces.
do you think different metals would make different color sparks?
brb...
ok. i found a website that said that metal sparked blue. blue...green...pretty close.
i can't -as of yet- find anything saying there is metal in oatmeal cookies. just a bunch of recipes saying to cook them on a metal cookie sheet, or whatever.
brb...
eureka!
oatmeal cookies are 6% iron!!!
everything makes sense ...NOW!
