Finally got a small job painting with my mom. I would have had a job already, but the place I have worked the last two summers would not have liked my weird schedule. They are real easy to just walk in and start working, but they are so busy you can't take too much time off. I learned to play chess two nights ago and so far I am 1 for 7! So much strategy.

My summer started off with a bang. 3 weeks (more like 2.5) of geology field camp that took me through Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Lots and lots of busy work every day from 6am to 10pm-ish. I was let down yesterday after the company I was talking to for the past 2 months told me that they didn't need me for a summer internship anymore. Last week they said I had one and that I should come out to check out the job soon. Then Tuesday the management supervisor wrote me saying that they didn't need me. Dang!
