So I was driving home tonight from a house party on 15th Street and I passed a couple walking hand in hand on the sidewalk, bracing each other and helping each other balance on the ice with each new step they took. I want that.

Haven't made a long post in a while, so it's time for an update. Over the break I went to two major places; Appleton, WI and Death Valley, CA. My mom, step-dad and I took off for Wisconsin on Christmas morning to see my mom's side of the family. They didn't have snow up there, and it was in the 40s most of the time. If you are 18-20 feet away from me, outside, WITH traffic around, and I can still hear your music through your tiny iPod Earbuds...you're deaf...AND annoying.

For once, I actually felt useful. Today a kid, probably 8 or 9, brought a rock up to me at the geology booth at the Activities Carnival in the Union and I was able to tell him all about it. It made me feel good not only on the outside, but moreso on the inside; something that hasn't happened in many months. Like it gave me purpose.
