Yep, still sick.  Still home.  Off-work guilt worsens.

So this illness started with the head, moved to the ears and throat, then the chest, then "gastric distress" last night, and now the sinuses.  Today's nasal outpour has necessitated the wearing of the toilet paper nose ring:

Kevin sometimes shares a bed with one of our houseguests, Sean.  Sean's a bit of a flopper when he sleeps, and Kevin sometimes complains.  "Sean lays on me and wakes me up all night long!  I allllllways stay on my side!  I don't flop on him!"

Hooray for cheesy yet fun small town fairs!  Sellersburg Celebrates is this weekend.  Kevin's chompin' at the bit to go.  And Art in the Park - an art/craft show in town.  I have no moolah to spend there.  Dadblameit.

Today is not fun - Kevin woke up hot and dry heaving. Bleh.  He's feeling somewhat better (sneaking little bounces on the trampoline and asking for s'mores) but I'm keeping him couch-bound.  I'm hoping he'll feel mostly to all-the-way better before S and the kiddos get back so we won't have to separate them all (and I might get a little away time ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my daughter's first day of school.  As a freshman.  Courtney is a freshman in HIGH SCHOOL.  I called her yesterday afternoon for scoop, and she gave me none.  Zero, zip, nada - the dirtbag!  She said, "What scoop is there?  I went to school."  Garrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
