Congrats! I'm waiting on a literary agent to get back to me about two pieces I've sent. First contact I've had with the publishing world so it's all a bit big and scary and goddamn SLOW!!
If I get a copy will you sign it for me?!
:)

Big hugs and congratulations. You deserve it. *Grin*

Also, this is probably the Jamesons talking, but whenever I see the inital H in your name I'm glad Bampa's name is continuing on. (Also your hypothetical kids? Do they call your Mum Bammie? {Incidental I bet you one of the relative will ask you and/or Debs about kids at the family gathering], or is Bammie our Bammie not transferrable? Even though Bammie was original our Mum's Bammie. )

I did mention there was Jamesons invovled didn't I? ;-)

Well hello the Jamesons !
... of course if we have kids, they'll call my mum Bammie. Direct line-of-descent. The more interesting question is, would _their_ kids call Debs Bammie ? Because although those children would be descendants of the original bammie, Debs wouldn't be.

The name goes with the genetics of the titlee, I think, rather than the genetics of the grandchildren, so Debs and I would end up as Mama(r) & Bampar.

Hmmm, like the idea of being a Bampar one day. I hope I get the white hair and eccentricity to match ;)

Oh the complexity! Mr field-full-of-wrinkly peas never investigated the heredidation of names !

That makes sense, I think Doug and I will end up as Bammie and Pop/Grandad/Whatever. (Doug seemed slightly freaked out when I asked him what he wanted to be called by the Grandkids ;-) )

I can't guarrantee the white hair, but I think you'll get the eccentricity no problem. ;-) I think it's trait that comes easily to our family.

And also I'm sorry. I'm probably only person who will find it funny, but I've got to metaquotes that. :-)
