the way I used to

Wow, I am really amazed to hear that people are celebrating Halloween in France. When I was in Germany on that day a few years ago, no one seemed to be celebrating except Americans. That makes me very happy. Also, it is very nice to read such a text-based update from you. I love your photos, but this is nice, too, in a different way.

My sister-in-law has lived in Ireland for a while and she's mad about legends and fairy tales, so I guess that's why she's always been celebrating Halloween. But it's not so common indeed (we had an attempt at some ten years ago, but it was more of a commercial than a cultural thing and it did not last really). I was invited to a couple of other parties this same week-end, among them a costume-one but none was linked with Halloween!

Thanks for the feedback about this post. The anecdote about the bakery made my day and I needed to share. I think it has to do with the 'emotional health' you mentioned in one of your recent post I have been thinking of, even referred to to my councellor and it makes so much sense in my life I don't think I had ever thought about this need I have in that way, as silly as it seems now I have it in front of me. So thanks for that too!
