Does anyone know if there is a specific birth defect that causes one of the eyes to be out of alignment?  Costa made a friend at the library and she had one eye that was noticeably higher than the other and also a further distance from her nose than it should have been.  Also, one of her forearms and hand was about half the size it should have been

Lasy eye or nystagmus.

No, it wasn't just the pupil. It was like the entire eye was stuck in the wrong spot.
