Indeed, I am! Because I live in southern Illinois, it's kind of my 'home town' con. It's still a five hour drive, but the closest one around. Come and nab me any time :3 We've scoped out a few nifty eating places around the area. That's the benefit of having one's own car on a trip. We can play taxi :D
Yes, I read this in your journal D: (though I wasn't sane atm, and failed to respond to it more than screaming nonsense about lightning XD ). I'm sorry you were so ill. We didn't get a whole lot of time to hang out with everyone, as we had to pull a nine hour drive back to IL. It was somewhat rushed. But we will all meet in the future, I am sure :3

It's quite alright about Sunday. I didn't mean to rush off sunday night. I don't know if you crawled off to bed, but I certainly did. You looked soooooooooo tired O_O; Kind of zombified!!! I'm sure I looked no better. XD

As for the zoo thing, I was actually just right outside in the lobby area...thing. By the computers? It was overly crowded in the zoo and it made me feel all...closed in xD But once I finally went back in, you had left! I figured you'd gone to bed though, as it was...what...2am? xD I think everyone had left at that point, haha. And yeah man, I was SO tired! I think I had a total of 3 hours of sleep for the ENTIRE con. I got hooked on the zoo and staying up late sketching with people and being stupid x3 Yey!
Glad you had fun ^^ I want to go to anthrocon or an other con, but I am scared of flying. Eurofurence is in Germany (the Netherlands' neighbour ^^), so I hope I can go there once. It seems very nice and fun!

Cons ARE very fun, but only if you want them to be. They can be really horrible, too. D: You've just got to steer clear of any insane drama, and stick with the people you know are sane and friendly and fun.
Hi there! I'm glad that you had a good time in the Artists Alley. Something that has been a problem, and the we need to clarify for next year, is that while Art Show setup begins at around the same time as Artists Alley signups, artists are allowed to hang their art until 6 PM on Friday. I did announce to those present at signups that we would look the other way if they needed to take some time away from their tables to hang their art, but clearly this needs to be communicated more effectively before Friday morning. I will be sure to include something about it in next year's Artists Alley information on the Anthrocon website. I'm glad to hear that your convention experience improved after Friday!

Yeah, I had no idea that was the case D: What made me most irritated was that I was trying everything I could think of to get myself set up in time, but was foiled by the various security rules that began to feel a little extreme. I couldn't get my artwork from my dealer friend because non-dealers weren't allowed in the night before; I couldn't have my brother help me because non-artists couldn't go in until noon, I couldn't have him stand in for me during the lottery calling, or have anyone else hang my work. By the end of it, I was fairly irritated. I didn't know any rules would be stretched or overlooked, because I'd run into so many beaurocratic walls already XD
But now I know, so it's all good. I think I might do the dealer thing next year anyway, if I can get enough swag together by then.
