And here I was thinking, "I wonder how Lindsey-with-an-e is doing..." And then you update! Huzzah! :-) I'm glad that college is going so well. Keep us updated, please?
Hello!:D *shakes hand* I really hope you don't think I'm intruding, but I just came across your journal by using the school feature, and I'm ever so glad I did!
It seems you not only several of my same interests and are in the curlygirls community, but you're a Christian too! Imagine my excitement to find read your fun entry talking about your first day at T__ College. ^_^ I loved reading about your day ~ reminds me of my excitement and apprehension when I first started there too. (I'm only a year older than you, so don't think I'm old, haha...)
I noticed in the comments someone asking if it was a Christian college, and I thought I'd let you know that there is a lovely group of Christians at this college, who I've made some of the most wonderful friends with. Actually, I don't know if this is the case anymore, but a lot of the ping-pong players (have you passed by the ping-pong tables) are Christians and my friends. I'm not going there this semester, but I try to come up every now and then to play and... for the BIBLE STUDY!:D It's on Monday

Oh, also, a lot of the Bible study people go up to Mainstreet Crossing on Thursday nights around 9:30 or so. The place is owned by Christians, but the "College Night" as it is dubbed, although perfectly fine, is not just for Christians. There's often live music there, but mostly everyone just visits or plays games or something. Maybe you already know what I'm talking about, but if not, it's the big red brick building on Mainstreet (2920) right before the railroad tracks coming from the college. There our two statues of The Blues Brothers sitting outside, and often a lot of college kids hanging outside too. But like I said, most of the people there are Christians, so it can be nice.:)
Lauren, wow! I'm so glad to meet you and that you found my journal! I was really excited to read your comment-- it wasn't strange at all. I love meeting new people. . . and the fact that you sort of go to the same school and are a Christian makes it sweeter! I checked your journal out and it seems like we have a lot in common. I'd love to 'be friends' on Live Journal, and I'd also love to really meet you at the college!
Thanks for the heads up about the group of Christians on campus! I think I would like to attend the Bible study one night. It would take some courage :-), but if I muster it up, I just might be there.
Do you have plans to go back to Tomball, or have you moved on?
Just letting you know that my name is chanelshowgirl [not chanelshow] - could you please fix my user name for the icon you're using? Sorry to bug you love. Thanks. ;D
