Well I for one think LJ did a great job and I commend them, it was really a tight spot to be in considering what was going on. That's the reason I re-posted...that and the short-sighted complaints that shifted blame on LJ for the down-time. That's like blaming a hostage situation on the victims, instead of the perps.
TELL IT! - The only reason I made the 'blanket' post was that I didn't want the shit to hit the fan. But I did comment on other posts, people who wanted to communicate did so (answered the comments). I know why this started - I saw the comment of the Russian girl on your post. Not that I agree with everything she said, or her attempts to dictate - but it was her POV.
I am happy to hear others pov. I want that in my life especially since my obsession with North Korea was sparked. What trouble me is the want to shut out ANY pov, also when people decide that because an article is out there that their pov wouldn't matter or judged correctly. I wasn't disrespectful to her and allowed her to get her views out. And if she makes a post about this I will be more than happy to post a link so her side is heard.
Shutting out POVs is not the way out. Here I agree. I just want you to understand why we are so defensive - it's our country, and the picture people have about it is often so deceptive.
Well, I've been here a decade, so I can also state that there have never been issues like the ones we have been facing before. The major issue that made most users flock to Insane Journal was due to the fact that a group was after Livejournal for allowing communities that dedicated to "underage porn" and they panicked and made a lot of bad mistakes.
Yes, it upset many users, but I think they have done pretty well considering. They can't make everyone happy, no one can. However, I still have lots of people that I really enjoy on my journal and I would like to keep them around for some time. :) I have no plans to leave and never really did to begin with.
Besides, LJ is a major procrastination tool for me to use. With them being down I got a lot of work done. D:
Yowzers. (just skimmed the comments from the other post)
Without jumping into the fray, let me send you big hugs and say 'good luck' on the medical tests today...I hope it all gets figured out and you get better quick! *smooches*

Thanks for posting this...I read the comment exchange on your previous post and to be quite honest I didn't understand the comments:/
Yeah LJ, we have to try and support them as best we can, so we need to hang about.
