Most amusing comment made to me today (in fact, for a while)

“Don’t get raped! You’re very rape-able!”
Made by a woman from dancing, who realised she could catch a bus home but felt guilty for leaving me alone on the tube. Sure it’s extremely un-PC, and flippant about a very serious topic, but in the context of not taking it too seriously, I found it ( Read more... )

hhahaah I think I looked for food in all the wrong p[laces. Ok given the thigns I ate may have been ok but I don't remember anything ntoeworthy...though that little cafe places Will took me to was pretty sweet. It's shocking though that in quids you pay so much more for everything. I wans't earning that though so it made it harder converting my hard earned AUD to GBP. Lol.

Yes lemon, lime and bitters is so common here, it's quite funny.

how is work going?

Stupid computer thinking delete means go back a few browser views.

Looking for good food in London is an expensive and painstaking process. I think the key is not to expect too much, but to give credit where credit is due. There is SO MUCH in London that some of it is bound to be good!

The cost of living in London does freak me out. It's expensive when you convert to $A, but even in pounds, as a proportion of your income, it's crap.

The new job is alright. I like my team lots which is the important thing! And it pays enough to cover rent and living essentials.

Ahh. Based on that logic I should be able to walk into any bar in Clapham (where I live, coincidentally enough) and order it without issue.
I must test this out.

Meanwhile can I just say that the walkabout sucks.
1. They don't stock bitters, so you can't get an LLB. I've gotten LLB's at dodgy pubs out in the country that have never heard of a cowboy, so that's simply ridiculous.
2. Wedges do not come with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce by default. Seriously, what sort of pathetic excuse for an Aussie pub are they?

I tried to order an LLB in the states, and they couldn't do it because they didn't have lime cordial *cry*

Awww! *feels your pain*

Have you ever tried to have lime cordial straight, or in high concentration? Man that stuff is tough work.
