although foer is directly indebted to kundera for the title of his first book, i thought the incredible lightness of being sucked. hard. maybe the one you just checked out is better.

yeah, I wasn't impressed with it at all. it had its moments, though.

i'm about 50 pages into this one and i like it, though it is a bit confusing at times. he doesn't explain who characters are, they're just thrown in. but i laughed out loud on page 3, and i very rarely laugh at books or television, especially outloud.

not kundera's best work but still has merit. try anything else, though. i loved laughter and forgetting but it was hard for me to read at times because i related too much to one character that i essentially hated. my personal favorite is probably immortality, if not laughable loves (his short collection).
