What houses are in your house??

I'm re-reading the series this summer, and my 8-year old is now obsessed with sorting - Disney characters, (non HP) book characters, etc., and our own family. Among the four of us, we've got all four houses represented, and a pair of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor cats ( Read more... )

My parents and older sister took the Pottermore test and were all sorted into Hufflepuff -- I'm the only Ravenclaw (though I do have a lot of underlying Puff traits). My fiance is a Slytherin; no clue what the rest of his family might be.

I'm interested to see if it runs in families. Our kids are nothing like my husband and I at all (and he and I have different temperaments) so I'm not surprised we are a motley crew. But I wonder if we are the exception to the rule?

My mom and my brother would totally be in Hufflepuff with me, while my dad feels more like a Ravenclaw. My husband is a Ravenclaw too.

Well.. you know my house. ;) My husband is Gryffindor and my oldest is a Ravenclaw. Our other two kids and my animals, I do not know. I'll have to maybe test my 7 year old.

Yes, I thought you would like that.

I'm Hufflepuff. Hubby is Slytherin. My best friend is Hufflepuff. His best friend is Hufflepuff. I'd say my father-in-law is Ravenclaw. Sister-in-law would be Ravenpuff. Mother-in-law is Hufflepuff. My brother might be Slytherin. Mom would be Ravenclaw. Dad would be a Slythendor (or whatever).

We're a mixed bag. My Mom's a Gryffindor. She thinks she's logical, but her temperamental nature and intense conviction often betray her. She excels at making decisions, which is handy because my Dad and I don't usually have opinions on things we find trivial or not pressing ( ... )

"Gryffindor honor/down for anything" is such a succinctly perfect description of that House!
