I remember, in college, thinking it was interesting that it was very much a thing for professors to invite their classes over their houses.  That never happened in high school!  Well, the geometry teacher would sometimes invite some students to his gorgeous lake house.  But only the super popular kids.

The girls had a great time at camp! I wasn't sure if there'd be issues with them being in the same cabin but it sounds like it was fine. Bridget passed the top swim test which thrilled her. They both want two weeks next year! We'll see ( Read more... )

We made it through the storms okay. We got the 18 inches predicted (well, technically I think it was 17.6) but originally it was maybe supposed to be that much of heavy snow, and it wasn't too heavy, which helped both on our own property and in the park. Still here! Still doing too much unpaid work, and figuring out how to extract myself a little further without burning bridges or getting thrown under the bus. There's a mini-retreat tonight, and I think the talking point (diverging from mission) is a straw man, so it should be interesting.
