4chordguthrie and I went to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge to see their very wonderful Darwin exhibition. It features some of the contemporary literature that inspired Darwin, texts that taught him geology and biology. If the world ends tonight it will be because cnidarian and I finally met, an event so unlikely that I'm not sure it won't create a black hole and suck the universe into it.

Don't know how many people saw the Miss California row (as kellyhk put it, opposite marriage fail).

Polls closed in California and Washington and I can't help feeling that the world has changed fundamentally for the better.

There's hope again.

And now it's 4am and I doubt I'll get to see Obama's speech and I should sleep.
