Technically, if they're a vegetable, it's not "assisted suicide" anymore, cause they can't decide to need assistance. Then it's just the uncomfortable decision of the next of kin to pull the plug. Something I hope I never have to do, and I hope my mom never has to do. I've got a great aunt who is getting near the end of her life and my mom's the one that has to make that decision if it ever comes to it. She came close to having to once...
