Advice needed for gift for young teen / Question about tags

**Apparently, I'm not supposed to ask this here. Sorry, it's been years since I read the rules for this community. Now I have a second question-Why is there a gifts tag if I'm not allowed to ask questions about them

Get her a toy camera (Diana/Holga/etc.) and a couple of rolls of film because why not? Maybe she'll get really into photography.

I fking hate tags and rules like that. People wonder why lj is dying, it's because you're making people dig through tags and everyone is afraid to post. New people come through and is always different... away with the tags, lazies! :)

I hate gift cards since I can usually find sales to make a gift look bigger but in this case I would go with a gift card to an accessory store or Hot Topic. I wouldn't worry about the rules, how many posts are there here a week now?

I'm sure I've seen posts about etiquette for party attendance, what to clean before a party, what to cook, etc. I fail to see how cooking for someone should be any less personal than gift-giving, for starters. Livejournal isn't exactly in a position to be too picky about participant questions these days, y'know?
