Hey everybody, it's my half birthday! 20 and half years ago right about now my mom was screaming death threats at my father and wishing she was watching Saturday Night Live instead of the obstetrician.

symantics are not usually my forte, but i believe the official term is "un-birthday", rather than "half-birthday". i am writing you a letter. it's either going to be really short or heinously long; for good or ill. we'll see.
