For those of you that have read my
Arashi fanfictions, I have decided to create a post dedicated to the Original Characters!
Why? Well... one, because I'm kinda weird like that and I was bored last night.
Two, because I was re-reading my own stories and I realized that some of the OCs have an interesting background that I never put into the stories and it might help with the story.
And three, OCs and minor Ocs don't get enough love XD
So! If you are interested in learning the background of any of the OCs, you can find them all here!
I will let you know, there will be SPOILERS. If you haven't read a story yet, skip over it's characters!
**If you notice any mistakes while reading this or any contridictions to the main stories, please let me know! There is always a possibility of me messing up!! :D And also, I put links under the names of the stories, in case you want to read it.**
Starting off with my very first Arashi fanfiction, I give you the OCs of
"Love Situation"!
Nakano Minako~
Birthdate and place: April 8, 1982, Tokyo
Family: Mother, father, older brother (not mentioned)
Appears: "Love Situation" and it's sequel, "One Love"
The main character in "Love Situation", Minako is the assistant costume designer and helps manage all Arashi's concert costumes alongside her boss, Matsuda Aya. Minako is very passionate in what she does, but often overreacts and panics over the small stuff. She is normally well-spoken and levelheaded, but can have a bit of a temper.
Being in the company for nearly five years, Minako had grown close with Arashi, Aiba Masaki being her best friend and starting a somewhat rocky relationship with Matsumoto Jun. Jun and Minako started their relationship only a month after being hired, Jun being only 20 at the time and Minako 21. After Jun's 20th birthday celebration Minako and Jun being a little tipsy, ended up sleeping together and ultimately starting off their relationship. While they did have deep feelings for each other, they often fought and broke up at least twice in five months they were together. After their last fight, Jun broke it off with Minako. Minako being extremely depressed, was taken out by Aiba for drinks.
A few days later, while Minako was running around doing errands for the costumes, she ran into Sakurai Sho, spilling his lunch onto the floor. It was then that Minako started to have deep feelings for Sho, growing over the years. She was told by Aiba to not say anything to Sho, because he had a girlfriend at the time and things were still uncomfortable with Jun. Minako remained silent and kept her feelings to herself (and Aiba) for four years.
Keeping everything inside, Minako fell in and out of love with Sho over the four years. During that time, Minako also became the crush of Junior, Sakamoto Jiro.
It wasn’t until Sho approached Minako and asked her to have lunch with him, that she knew Sho had any feelings towards her at all. During a sudden confession at the top of the concert dome, Sho reveals that he had loved Minako for four years but kept his distance because of Jun. Minako and Sho began their secret relationship, hiding it from everyone except Aiba, until finally they told everyone nearly ten months of dating (takes place during "One Love"). Jun reacts calm at first, but when approached by Minako, he reveals that he still loved her and Minako lets her remaining love for Jun out, telling him that she still might love him too.
Seeing her confusion, Sho leaves Minako until she can figure out what she wants. After another argument with Jun and finally calming down, Jun tells Minako to not leave Sho.
In the end, Sho and Minako reunite and decide to get married, thus ending "One Love".
Matsuda Aya
Birthdate and place: September 1, 1953, Osaka
Family: Younger sister (Matsuda Ayeko), husband (deceased)
Appears: "Love Situation" and it’s sequel "One Love"
Aya is Minako’s boss and head of the concert’s costume department. Often strict and serious about her job, Aya seems to be cold hearted and not a very easy person to approach. However, when Aya notices Minako’s change in behaviour over the confusion between Sho and Jun, Aya sits Minako down and has a talk with her.
She tells Minako that she needs to think things through if she wants to avoid making the same mistake she made when she was younger. She tells Minako about her "old flame", being Johnny Kitagawa. Minako never fully believes Aya until she sees the two meet at her wedding (takes place in "One Love"). It is never explained exactly what happened between the two, but according to Aya, her situation was very, very similar to that of Minako’s.
She ultimately made a mistake that caused her to lose the one she really loved. At the end of "Love Situation", when Minako decides to quit, Aya offers her a job with her younger sister, Matsuda Ayeka.
Sakamoto Jiro
Birthdate and place: January 20, 1990, Hokkaido
Family: Mother and father (separated), grandfather
Appears: "Love Situation"
Jiro had met Minako when he was only twelve years old when she came with Aya to the Jimusho to discuss an upcoming concert. Sneaking out of dance practice to seek out Minako, Jiro was caught by one of the instructors but saved when Minako was running by for an errand. She apologized for taking Jiro away from his practice because she claimed she was "lost" and took all the blame. Ever since then, Minako had become an idol and mentor in Jiro’s eyes. As Jiro quickly gained popularity, he was named the "heartthrob" among the Juniors but retained his innocent personality to attract Minako.
His crush grew and soon, he asked Minako how to confess. Minako, thinking he was confessing to someone at school, told him to tell her how he felt during lunch on the roof. He never properly confesses to Minako until they go out one night. Minako soon learns that Jiro wants to quit because of her and he surprises her by kissing Minako.
Unfortunately, Sho and Aiba happen to overlook this, making Sho storm off and Minako panic. Luckily for Jiro, Aiba calms Minako down and tells him to go home and that everything was okay. The following day, Jiro finds Minako to apologize. It is here that Minako finds out that Jiro is quitting Johnny’s to go back to Hokkaido to help his father and grandfather with their fishing business.
