Have you heard about what is going on in Darfur right now?

I didn't really hear about this till I got to college. There may have been something on Channel One about it back in high school, but no one pays attention to it. It's a shame, because although Channel One may be corny and dumb, they do ( Read more... )

I can guarantee you that the crisis in Darfur was never covered on Channel One, because the people who own Channel One would lose a lot of money if people here started caring enough to do something.

Channel One serves only one purpose: to advertise products to teenagers. They mask it behind a group of aspiring young actors reading hand picked "news stories". Sadly, most school administrations fail to realize this.

Well, I'm pretty sure that there was a 3 day story or something on Channel One about it, but like I said, no one pays attention.

Although you are very right in the fact that all that Channel One really does is advertise products to teens. Maybe someone should bring this to the attention of school boards/administrators.
