Hey, if LARP has taught me anything it's that it pays to start big in the sacrifice stakes...

"anything above a paracetamol"....I'm sure paracetamol is the most toxic of the cover-the-counter painkillers. But then that's in terms of liver damage, not in terms of mutagenic activity. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Good luck with the cat surgery.

Speaking as a nurse, paracetamol is relatively safe compared to aspirin, codeine etc., but obviously when overdosed, even mushrooms aren't safe (depends on the mushroom, I s'pose).

even with paracetamol it ranges to fulldose for two days only to take it for up to a week. point is, when i get headaches they might as well be smarties for all the good it does. I'm not allowed to take ibuprofen, the drug of choice at all as it is a placenta cross risk. *sulks*
so to be allowed to take small doses of codeine was a blessing last night as these aches are NASTY.
Especially when your cat ends up in intensive care.

i don't know if it will work for you but that 4head stuff got me through some of the milder headaches in pregnancy. (i think it works on certain headaches).

Sorry to hear about Thomas, sending healing out to him, I'm sure my trio of felines would do the same. I'm sending out vibes to you, so that you feel better soon!

Lots of love

Just spoken to the neurologist. The surgery went well, and they think they've removed all of the tumour. He's breathing on his own, and starting to come round from the anesthetic, although very groggy at the moment. It's too early to judge his brain function, but the doctor will call back in about 2 hours to update us further.

Thanks for all your kind comments and wishes. It's been a really tough few days for all of us, especially Thomas, and he needs all the good vibes he can get right now.
