An expensive mistake..

I was told recently that a customer came to the store during the day to lodge a complaint about me with the store manager. According to them, I have light strawberry blonde hair, but anyway.

Here's what happened.

I was told that the floor crew would be waxing the grocery side of the front end (registers), and that we would have to open on the GM ( Read more... )

Ugh :-(

They're probably done that before at another store and got the same 'consolation award' and figured they had a good opportunity to try it again, ugh, I hated people like that when I worked in retail :-/

People will sometimes take advantage of a situation, not caring about the others involved. I've seen this in varying degrees when I was in food service and retail.

Chey, I know you're a smart person. I think you have more potential than any retail store job can offer you (well, unless you get a CEO position!). I'd say the cliched line of doing what you love for your career, but I don't know your exact circumstances right now. I'm sure things will work out though! Hang in there ("there" doesn't imply Walmart), buddy!

That happens here too. Hell-Mart just likes to give free gift cards to assholes and then bitch at the front end peons about it.
