Dynasty Warriors 7 Character Age: Looks to be in her late teens
Canon: What happens when you take a historical-based novel and turn it into a hack and slash game with more than a few anachronism? Why, you get a game series where peons can be put to death with a feather fan that shoots lasers and a Gatling gun! The basic story of each game follows the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, and Shu throughout their rise and fall, and though most of the series focus on the three kingdoms, their latest edition to the series introduced a new faction that once served Wei before ultimately becoming the land’s unifier: Jin.
One of the officers that served Jin is Wang Yuanji. As a daughter of a high ranking official, and the person who is betrothed to the faction’s leader son, Yuanji generally tends to speak formally and takes her duty on the battlefield very seriously. Though normally kind and courteous to everyone she meets, especially toward those that are weaker than her, Wang Yuanji doesn’t hesitate to speak out her mind and give those that she considers to be at fault a good tongue lashing. However, even the bluntest lectures are still mostly spoken with the recipients’ benefits in mind, and it is only when someone tries her patience too far it that she will truly mean those insults. But don’t be fooled, contrary to her upfront image; Yuanji has trouble conveying her feelings toward the people she cares for.

Though my lord may not appreciate how I am insisting that he fulfills his duty, I cannot believe that he would use the pretense of sending me to train our allies in a far-off land to avoid his responsibilities like this. Especially when he can’t even be bothered to make the description of our allies believable. “Decaying bodies?”, “Detachable arms?”…I never thought there would be a day I’d hope he’s playing a trick on me, or I would have to question his sanity otherwise. Whenever I return, I will insist…no make him understand why someone with his talents and position must be conscious of his actions. But I suppose lamenting about that now wouldn’t be of any use. Let’s do the best that I can here.
Hmm, perhaps the locals that are gathered over there could assist me in this matter…It appears that my initial assumption was wrong; the description of our allies I’ve been given were correct after all. Not many can continue to fight when their eyes and arms are damaged, but even fewer can continue to fight with such sickness plagued upon them. You are all indeed very admirable for struggling so long in such condition. With how our allies are being subjected to such tyranny, I can understand why my lord would send me to evaluate the situation here. I suppose that he can be an exemplar ruler once in a while…whenever he can overcome his laziness. But do not worry. My lord will surely assist you in your struggle against this Lady Sayre, beginning with my assistance in your training in preparation to retake this province. We will punish those who caused such misfortune to a strong and noble group of people!
…I see that the claim concerning your arms is true as well, but if you are throwing them away like that, does that mean you are refusing to train? Though reinforcements will surely come, you cannot expect to rely only on them in retaking this province back. You are still capable men after all, and I’m sure that with proper training, you will all be a force to reckon with. However, if that is truly your decision, I will abide it. I only wish to inform you all that, though this option is indeed a viable one, my lord would not return the control of this land to the people who were too cowardly to help regain it. After all, what some label as self-preservation may be interpreted as cowardice. And right now, regardless of your intentions, it seems to me that your action falls under the latter.
Perhaps that rekindled your resolve once more? Well, it’s time to test that then. Gather your arms-including the ones you threw away before!
