To have fallen

One of my favorite song lyrics is from Dar Williams, when she says that "it's better to have fallen in love, then never to have fallen at all". And why I am keen on this, I do not know, for I am unsure if I believe it. It is interesting to ponder things such as this - travel, for instance. love is never the same as the first time. each one is different.

another fork in our roads, another big choice to make. thus is life. but isn't it exciting though? things are so different now i imagine, than when you lived in vegas, or was the manager of that retirement home (? - or something similar) in the midwest? life is frustrating yet very fun at the same time. i like having choices.
