so now i'm totally done with my thesis. my mentor gave me the enhorabuena, which means congrats, so i bind two three copies and mail two of them tomorrow to nyu in madrid. finally. so i finished my master's in less than a year, and i think that's pretty nice, even if i'm in debt up to my eyebrows. oh well. next up, phd applications. oh god ( Read more... ) -

Parents have come and went, my thesis is getting there, i guess, and i hate spam.
i am also now on facebook, for all you facebook fans. i was made to do it by all the people in the program here in spain. what can a girl do? pictures are easier for me to put there, so that's where they are.

february is the fun month?

i've been having a really good time, going out with my friends from school and things like that. i've been working on my thesis (mostly reading) and teaching english as a second language. i actually like my english classes, especially my conversation classes. on the school front, not as much reading this ( Read more... ) -
I went to Paris
I loved it. Especially the Musee d'Orsay, which had all of the great Impressionist painters great works. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, Paris was cold. Around 30-20, with a 20 mile an hour wind, which made for a wind chill factor of -10. It was soooo cold. Too cold to walk around much. Here's me cold I'm in front of the Seine.

Updating
Sorry for the wait. These last two weeks have been hectic: I am having midterms, the usual work load of writing, and a few essays thrown into the mix. This weekend I went to Medina del Campo, a tiny town north of Madrid. However, because I have my final midterm today and tomorrow, I will post pictures and story when I can.

So, Spain is a wonderful place. Unfortunately the dollar is down, so it's also a very expensive place. Anyway, I have been making friends, at least one of which is the "Minor in Spanish" version of Bethany, so that is nice. Also, I'm the evening librarian at the school.
