because I failed the Civil Service assessment thingy.

Never mind. I will get a permanent job doing something at some point!

I'm sorry you didn't get in.

Did you actually *fail* or did you not get a high enough whatever they use as a benchmark to be accepted?

And you don't need to say either way here.

"We are writing to advise you that unfortunately, on this occasion, you did not reach the pass mark for the e-Tray exercise for the Graduate Fast Stream Scheme and therefore we will not be taking your application further."

This sounds like 'fail' to me. Thanks for asking though!x

Yes, I suppose you could view it that way. But you could also have missed it by a teeny margin - like me missing a 1st by 1% point! It also depends entirely on what their pass mark was.

Still, its very disheartening and I know how you feel. I didn't even get an interview for an admin part time post that I could do standing on my head.

Got any other ideas on what to go for?

Thanks for that. I have no idea what the pass mark might have been.

I'm not really upset about it. A permanent job would give me a bit of confidence though. Nothing much on the horizon. Good luck with your job hunt. You'll find something!

What idiots.

I'm sorry but I can only see that a person as intelligent and forward thinking as yourself would be a gain for them.

Fools.
