Poor John

John has gone down with a really nasty case of shingles. They're on his face-all around his right eye, which is apparently quite unusual and very painful. I hope he gets better very soon.

Ouch, poor John, so sorry he is in so much pain and unconfortable, childwood deseases are so much worse in adulthood. Give him a hug from me.

Mum had that in 2000 on the run up to my wedding. In the same place. It was touch and go as to whether she'd even be able to come to the wedding!

It isn't pleasant. Give him a hug from me. Hope he gets better soon.

Will do. Your poor Mum. I think that you did tell me at the time, but I wouldn't have known on the day. It usually comes out at times of great stress. Do you happen to know if she had double vision? John's got that quite badly.

Thank you. He's a little better than he was, but he still has double vision.
