[Action] Everyone come pester!

Dec 15, 2010 09:18

[Anyone who wasn't drafted and tends to frequent the library may have noticed a lanky, raven-haired woman poring through what appears to be a mountain of books. Normally, such activity would cause an expression of complete rapture, but today- as yesterday and the day before- Robin's brow merely furrows in frustration tainted by anger. No one is ( Read more... )

[He visited the library every now and then. Even today, though he was feeling a bit under the weather. Never has injury or illness ever slowed Hakkai down though.

On his way past some of the shelves he came across a pile of books and a woman sleeping in the midst of them. Well now this is peculiar. It seemed like she was researching extensively and fell asleep part way. The brunette carefully approached. Should he wake her?]

Excuse me. Are you feeling well... Miss? [He rubbed his nose. Blasted cold.]

[It isn't often that Robin allows herself to be caught in such a prone condition. She jerks up at the voice, eyes wide. It only takes half a second, though, for her to remember where she is, and for chagrin to set in.]

Ah, I'm alright, yes.

[And, well. This is embarrassing. No, she is most certainly not blushing okay maybe a little.]

Thank you for checking on me, Monacle-san.

[She didn't notice knocking one of her book towers ever so slightly off balance, either. But don't worry about that.]

[Hakkai seems to catch a lot of rare moments. Not that he would know.]

That's good to hear, and you may call me Hakkai. [Or Monacle-san, weird nicknames is a go here.] Did you need something? Like some tea or help?

[The polite male would offer his assistance to you.]

[While endearing, she'll stick with Hakkai for now- unless she feels like teasing.]

I'm looking for information, actually. And it seems the Malnosso are only generous with other worlds' secrets...

Have you been here long?

[There might be a sound like the slight rustle of paper sliding on paper.]

[honestly Locke came to the library hoping to find some similar information. not that he was the one for reading, but after the draft claimed some of his friends he really couldn't help himself.

once he spots the taller woman sleeping when he enters, he slowly blinks...huh. he's tempted to shake her awake to see if she's alright but holds off from doing that and instead moves a bit closer to where she is]

Hey...you okay over there?

[Since he isn't looming, she wakens a bit more calmly. Her eyes flutter open and she sits up, realizing she needs to stretch.]

Hm? Were you referring to me?

[he nods at the question back]

But it looks like you're wide awake. [aaand his eyes now wander to all the books]

That's a lot of books, are you reading up on any specific?

[A tired sigh. It's really been a fruitless endeavor.]

The Third Party. Some of my nakama are... were... [Seastone. She can't remember what day it is.]

[Jack has felt a bit lost since his return from the Underwater Facility. He misses the ocean terribly, so he's returning to the library to keep taking Raine's advice. He'll be looking for a certain account of the Encantadas by his new favorite author while he is there, and is searching for it when he sees a sleeping girl.

She might awaken when he thumps the heavy and enormous Codex down on the table beside her.]

[That she does, Jacky. With a start that ought to make him right proud of himself. Just be aware of that previously mentioned mountain of books. It's not the most stable of structures...]

Good... [morning? afternoon? Robin realizes she's not sure what time it is.] ... Day.

[And while it most likely has nothing to do with her research, that is a rather interesting looking book he's got there. Don't mind her as she stares at it curiously.]

[Hang on a sec while he prevents an avalanche of books from burying them both.]

Good day and it's easier not to build a house of books, you know. Better to sleep in an actual house that won't fall on top of you.

[Well, it wasn't as if she were in danger. A couple of arms reach out of the table, steadying the stacks and helping him pile those that fell. She doesn't even seem to be aware of them.]

Indeed. I suppose I got a bit... involved.

[If they were back home, on the Thousand Sunny, finding Robin wouldn't be a difficult thing to do. And despite how much extra space Luceti has to search over, it isn't a problem here either; luckily the first guess proves to be the correct one.

Whether Robin is feeling awake or not after so many visitors remains to be seen, of course. As I try to be merciful to your timeline.]

[Bugger the timeline. Wake her up, it's fun! She's dozing softly, completely ignorant of the rather interesting red mark the middle of this book will leave on the side of her face.]

[Well, he wouldn't be much of a gentleman at all if he let that happen, would he?

This is the sound of a chair screeching against the floor as he drags it over to her table. 8D]

[Ugh, who brought in the Southbird with laryngitis? Oh. It's Brooke. Robin sits up and rubs her eyes with the back of her hand.]

Hello, Brooke.

[A library, now this does pique his interest. Even with the helpful guide, any more information he can find out helps all the more. He notes the woman for a moment as he moves between the shelves, easily noting the tell-tale signs of anger. But it isn't long before the woman lowers her head to the table. Quietly he makes his way closer, looking over books near her table, glancing occasionally over at the materials she's been studying.]

[She has a good portion of the library's materials spread out before her, to be quite honest. Histories, mainly. A bit of philosophy, law, and politics. The common thread is that it all seems to relate somehow to Luceti itself, sometimes rather indirectly.]

[He takes note of the books, making a bit more noise than usual as he shuffles through the shelves nearby. Shame he hasn't looked over some of those books more thoroughly himself.]
