Anastasia

Today, it's our first attempt at sporking an animated movie, Don Blyth's and Gary Goldman's Anastasia. Brace yourself...

( Ra - Ra - Rasputin... )

Okay, we need to make up for the trauma we suffered here, so the next one will definitely be fun to spork: it will be Randall Wallace's Man in the Iron Mask!

YAY! You're back and alive and I love you and YAY! YAY YAY!

And god this movie made me gag like a little gagging girl thingy that gagged. My concentration in history was Russian history at the time of the Revolution. Just imagine. To be told by people "Oh, but it's such a great movie!" just made my head hurt. To have them then *argue* with me about stuff in it being accurate -- Well, we don't see each other much anymore.

This icon is just for the cousins. ;)

♥ Thank you! We're glad we managed to entertain you ;)

Yes, we come across that reaction, too: but I SAW it in the movie. And even if most people are aware of the fact that it's fantasy, there's sometimes something that kinda stays in the back of their minds, like, the omg so happy Russian populace that was thrown into misery by the omg ebil revolution (which happened because umh).

Cousins forever!

LOL! What a perfect way to start the weekend. Great as always.

The sad thing is I knew a teacher who considered showing this movie as part of her history class. Thankfully she reconsidered.

Anastasia: *gets trapped in maze by Rasputin*

cloudlessnights: The Triwizard cup can't be far at this point.

*grin*

Thank you so much, we're glad you enjoyed it!

Oh god, no! If it were a class on pop culture, then there'd be a point in showing it, though... ;D

I agree with your sentiments, and, as usual, love the sporking, but "square the circle"? Am I more than usually behind webspeak, or is your use of this geometric term your very own spin? :)

I avoid animated history films because I *know* they're going to make me want to bang my head against a wall. Life's too short...

Thanks, you've taught me something. I've never heard the term used in any context other than geometry.

*sigh*
Yes, yes, it's a disgrace wrapped up in an abomination...
But it has such hummable songs!
And i know do svidanya technically doesn't mean goodbye, but then nothing else really does either, so what else are they supposed to say? :P
Good spork!

LOL, I meant in Russian.
But then apparently there is something (see the comment below), but I guess they figured their intended target audience wouldn't really care... or perhaps they just didn't do any research...

I thought that 'Proschay' meant 'goodbye for ever'. But it's been a long time...
