they must have changed it then
because my cousin got his g1 on his birthday in august when he turned sixteen and had his full license (not just g2) in april of the next year.

my aunt said something about how when my cousin got his g1..her insurance rates changed, i dont really know.

If anything your child getting their g1 it would make your insurance rates go up. But it doesnt do anything.
