Tornado sirens

I've never heard a tornado siren before.

They just stopped here in downtown Cincy, and the storm is letting up a bit. I can see the building two blocks over again now.

I'm glad the storm's letting up.

But ... wow, I grew up surrounded by tornado sirens.

Aside from the first three years of my life, and forgive me if I don't have a great auditory memory of those years, I have lived on the coasts. The occasional tornado, more frequent hurricane, earthquake, or fire, were not signaled with sirens.
